Syntax:
numberPascalString = str$(numericExpr)
Description:
This function returns a string consisting of the characters in the decimal representation of numericExpr
. If the number is non-negative, then numberPascalString
will also have a leading space character (if the number is negative, the first character will be the minus sign). str$
formats the number in a reasonable way; if you need the number to appear in a special format, use string functions such as using
, hex$
, etc.
Generally speaking, str$
is the inverse of the val
function.
